Modern Naval Warfare Coming Soon

Modern Naval Warfare is the next generation naval combat simulator, which will immerse you in the dark and unforgiving world of the modern high-tech naval battlefield.
Keep track of your enemies, hunt or escort convoys, undertake covert operations and unleash devastating land strikes.
You will be in command of United States� latest and most lethal Nuclear Attack Submarine the SSN-774 Virginia Class in such detail that will blow your mind.
Play in cooperative mode and assign your friends, into a wide variety of highly detailed stations or face them as enemies.

Will Modern Naval Warfare compare more towards DANGEROUS WATERS (complex/realistic) or to COLD WATERS (not complex/arcade)?

OMG!!!! This looks fantastic!!

More importantly, reading from the Info/ Features lists on the store page and Steam Store page, this seems like its going to be a serious and detailed simulator (Difficulty level - Expert!). More playable platforms to come in the future.

I really hope this is as good as it looks & reads.

Coming Soon!! (So before Christmas then?)

I was watching yesterday's HOW when it was announced. Wow! I'll definitely be following this and looking forward to more news/teasers as development progresses and plans begin to firm up.

Any rough estimate on the pricing and release date? I consider gifting a voucher for this to my brother so it would be good to know how long he would have to wait and if it is in the price range :)

From the devs plans (those can change anytime - see the last sentence), the firsts DLCs will be SSK (maybe type German 212 and Kilo) and the Baltic or the Akula III (to counter balance the Virginia). These 2 are schedule but the order can change, so we may get the Akula first then the 212.

After that, maybe a surface DDG (the Arleigh Burke class is on the top of the choice since she can do a lot of mission (AsuW, ASW, AD, .....)

Since MNW is a simulator, they need to gather as much information (open source) about any submarine or surface ship, so their plans can be cut if they can't model the systems, .... It will also depend on the sales, the more sales, the more time they can spend in R&D on a particular ship (they have to eat and pay bill like most of us!)

This looks good of course. BUT I thought it was going to be an overall naval simulation game. Not sub command. I am a tincan sailer, i.e. modern DDG's. No one has yet to do a real, good naval simulation yet for those like me. Running a battle fleet, SAGS, handling Aegis, Carrier ops and more, is the ONE simulation game no one has done except for Dangerous Waters and it was good but very limited itself.
