It may be looking through the netting on the goalposts. I had a similar experience in an outdoor game. I was on my own 3 yardline or thereabouts and could see a see-through impression of the goalpost and crossbar.

The problem for me is when I return back to the game it does not appear to return back to the instance where the game displayed this error. It is almost like the game skips ahead to the next play.

Do you mean this happens only when you use textures that have been modded by a 3rd party?

zowee77, is this the same with your issue? Do you also get these anomalies with modded uniforms or with the basic set?

Can you two pleae make sure you run the latest drivers for your video cards.

Marc,

It actually happened when I played a indoor mode quick play game with Miami versus Denver with default uniforms in the arena stadium. I have a NVIDA FX5700VE 256 DDR video card with the latest NVIDIA drivers. My computer is a Athlon XP 2.3 GHz with 1GHz of DDR RAM running Windows XP.

I think the transparent goalpost when it would otherwise be blocking your view is by design. However, the f9 error is not. Rob, can you please try updating your nVidia drivers to the latest version to see if that helps? You can download them from www.nvidia.com.

Regards,

- Erik

Erik,

I have the latest nvidia drivers version 81.98 Feb 7th and had them installed when I seen the problem. Oddly enough it appeared only to happen when I selected quick play, indoor rules and the arena stadium.

Zowee,

When you selected that, were you already set to the Indoor League as well in the League screen? The League should match the default rules you are using.

- Erik

Erik,

Actually I did not at the time have the default league set to the indoor teams. Let me go back and make sure that the default league is set to indoor and try to replicate the issue with that setting. I will be back shortly.

Erik,

When I set indoor teams to default it appears not to cause the problem. I will continue to test this theory but within a quater and a half I have not seen this error appear which before I seen it within a few series of play.

Rob,

Thanks for that, please see if you can update your audio driver to be newer than 2003 and let me know if that makes any difference.

Zowee,

Good to hear it's fine as long as the league and quickplay defaults match. Please report anything else you find.

Regards,

- Erik

I think I have this licked. My belief is when I originally installed my mods I missed a file, thus the reoccuring mod error. I wiped the game, did a fresh install and then readded my mods...

badda bing

badda boom

no issues so far.

Thanks erik

False alarm. At least we know what can cause that problem.

Erik,

I completed an entire indoor game last night and did not encounter this specific error. It appears at least for me that when the League setup and the rules match up and you play in the arena stadium that the error goes away. The only error I encountered was the one you are already are aware of at the goal line where the offense and defense setup about 5 to 10 yards in the endzone and attempts to runplays. This problem has already been identified. I would point out however that I did get a ridicously highscore something like 120 to 96. However their are a multitude of modifications that can be made to address this and this to me is not a error in game design at all.
