greetings...

In one of my PBEM we have corrupted things:

1. Warhawks fragments are on the japs side (we tried to eliminate this fragment allowing enemy to bomb them but it seems that this isn't possible)

2. my opponent have this problem:
quote:

I have a transport fleet southeast of Sydney of which I have no control. There
> are two air groups loaded on the fleet. I can neither move the fleet
> nor change any setting for the fleet. It's quite a nuisance, to say
> the least, to have a bug like that to interfere with our play.

can experts take a look into this?

thanks in advance....

The cause of this problem is this:
1. The fragment was orginally a fragment of a split Allied group (eg 39th FG/A).
2. The split groups rebuilt back into main group (39th FG).
3. The fragment still exists somewhere and thinks it belongs to the sub-unit (39th FG/A).
4. The other player splits one of his groups (1st Sentai) and re-uses the same slot as the old split group (39th FG/A).
5. The fragment goes to display/move/etc and looks for it's parent, which is now belong to the other player (1st Sentai/B).

In beta 1.7+, a change was made that does not allow a group to split or rebuild if there are fragments of the group still in play to stop this from happening.

From WhatsNew:
quote:

3) Sometimes air group fragments were being formed under enemy control. Should no longer happen for groups which divide after patch 1.0655 applied. Bullet proofing for earlier errors has been written. If fragments are found under control of wrong player, the player side is now changed and fragment is sent to home base.

2) Air groups and air sub-groups may no longer divide or recombine, when fragments of the group exist.

Thanks for help Michael - i can recall it happens the same way you have described.

Does it means that there is nothing we can do about it? (we are playing under 1.602)?

What we can do about "ghost fleet"?

Thanks in advance.
