Just noticed, I did a 2005 import from the Lahman, rated players from 1-100, and almost all closers endurance ratings sit at a 1. Is this by design?

I think that is by design.

Remember that the 1-100 scale is relative to other players in the association; all that is telling you is that they're approximately equal and ammount to the low end of the scale.

You'll probably find that they can still last 15-20 pitches without any degradation of ability, but asking them to throw 35 might be a bit much.

Yes, I don't think the endurance of a closer vs. that of a starter is proportional.
