Lefty, I had the same problem on my Windows Vista laptop. This is how I solved it: PREP: - Forget v1.00
- Download v1.51
- Download CE 2
- Download CE 5
Install: - Install v1.51
- At some point, it will state that the OS you're using isn't compatible with PureSim. However, it will let you proceed with the install. Proceed with it.
- Once v1.51 is in, install CE 2.
- Once that's done, install CE 5.
- Enjoy the game because it will work fine.
The only detail I've personally noticed running it in Vista is that first, if you're running Aero, Vista will temporarily downgrade you to Basic-- it seems that PSB doesn't function with Aero. It works fine in Basic though, and Vista switches you back (if applicable) once you exit the game. Second, you'll get the Allow/Deny prompt every time you run it, unlike other games I've installed who just RUN. However, these petty little issues aside, the game runs flawlessly. I have had no problems since.
