As many of you know, Version 3.0 will give you a new system of edited campaigns. Now they are branching instead of linear. The next battle you fight is dependent on how you did in the last one. At least two new campaigns will be available immediately with more on the way. Preparing the Way is a Tour de Force from Morocco through Sicily, getting ready for D-Day. Heroes of the Motherland takes you through the bitter fighting in the area around Moscow in the fall and early winter of 1941. You'll be defending the capital against the German invaders. And coming, "From Utah to the Rhine," which will take you from the beaches of Normandy to the Rhine River. The Japanese will be coming in another one before the end of the year, "The Rising and Setting Sun." We also hope to revise the older campaigns to fit the new format. So there are good things coming in abundance. Hang on just a little longer. You've been very patient with us and we want to make it as right as we can....Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

I think this was answered before and if so sorry. Will we now be able to download campaigns from the net and use them along with others at the same time? What I mean is will we have to replace one campaign with another like the current system? (ie pages 83 & 84 in the manual) Thanks in advance for your help and keep up the OUTSTANDING work Matrix. ------------------ Cavalry Trooper (8th US) and Grandson of a Leibstandarte Tanker.

That zip-file-replacing is gone. You can have 999 campaigns in the same directory. Tom

The only conceivable problem is if someone outside of our group designed a campaign, say in campaign slot four and we had one designed in campaign slot four, it would overwrite the one there. THe chances of that are quite rare. There are 999 slots for campaigns and each campaign can have dozens of scenarios. ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

I want to say that Tom Proudfoot worked very closely with me on the matter of the campaigns. He has done a marvelous and occasionally difficult job fine tuning this system. He was always there when I needed him to fix or correct a problem. Thank you Tom. This feature, the TCP/IP program, the new victory hexes and a number of other features are your handiwork. We as gamers are very greatful to you and Mike Wood as programmers for the game. Well done! ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

And lest I be remiss, I've had a cadre of hard-charging testers working on these campaigns as I have prepared them. I'll miss a name and offend someone (hope not), but Stuart Millis, Michael Peck, Figmo, Redleg, Fabio, Tankhead (Rick C.), Tom P.,and Klaus have been right on top of these, testing as we go. Their feedback has been a big help. Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

Hi everyone! The new campaign system is just awesome, you guys are gonna love this one. The campaigns Wild Bill design are also awesome . One thing I can say is, better practice on your battle skills you will need them. The campaign are pretty bloody battles and you will need all your tactical know how. Heroes of the motherland, well you wish you had some water coolers on your guns, you will need them . With all the new features in ver..3 haaahhh. Wild Bill did an exellent job on these campaigns, and the hours involved, I forgot now, to many to count. 3 cheers for Wild Bill Tankhead ------------------ Rick Cloutier rcclout@telusplanet.net Coordinator: Tankhead's SPWAW Resources http://sites.netscape.net/rcclout
