In the group window of the SE, whenever I go to 2x magnification, all the shorelines become horribly fuzzy and pixellated. This happens across multiple resolutions, from 800*600 to 1280*1024, and seems to occur in all the battlesets. Why is this?

Three programmers wish they knew. Bret was the first to try and get rid of the 2x fuzzies nearly 5 years ago. I then spent a good chunk of time chasing it down to no avail. Then Fletcher had a try. Now it is back to me and while I have looked at it since release, haven't spent any major time on it. With very little doubt it is an overflow of a 16-bit integer (by default a 32-bit integer in the GE and no overflow), but it hasn't been isolated.

I don't know if this is any help, but I just took a look through my Harpoon Museum. The fuzzies don't occur in the SE with Harpoon Classic or Harpoon 97, but start with Harpoon 2002.
