I have played TOAW for some time but allied to my first venture into fiction http://warships1discussionboards.yuku.com/topic/5487 i have decided that i need to write my own scenario to game the land combat in Flanders.

Dumb question - how do you draw roads/railways/canals ?

Am i missing something obvious as spent 20 mins yesterday looking and couldnt find it in TOAW3.

Thanks in anticipation of assistance

On the control panel (directly above the tile palatte) there are two scroll buttons. Scroll the palatte down until the roads/railways/canals tiles are visible. Select as desired. Draw away.

One other valuable trick for drawing such features:

Pull down the edit menu. Select "Auto Contouring". Turn on/off as needed. Sometimes it's useful, when similar tiles aren't very crowded, but when they are crowded you'll want it turned off or it will screw up the work you've done. With it "off", you'll have to manually connect them, though.
