I created a database using access that cross indexes scenarios with complextity, turns etc. It is in PDF If anyone likes to have it feel free to email me and i will send it. The PDF file is 141 pages landscape, sorted by rating of 1. these also have wich game they reside in. Eventually I will havit linked to the OOB of the SCN as well as a Graphic of the MAP with Units. This is just a good start.

Sounds nice. Can you also include my scenarios that are in JCTS in this PDF? And can you sort them by (historical) date? Perhaps I'm asking a bit much....

Sent you a pm with my email. If you can send the Acces file as well, that would be nice.

Thanks

Wow that is nice! I'd like to have something like that for The Blitz Campaign Series Ladder.
And, I do not see Jason as being unreasonable. When Take2 bought the series from Talonsoft it remained relatively unsupported. Now that it is owned by Matrix and fully supported, it is their product to do with as they wish.
We are merely players of the game? Regardless of how much we love it?

I am one who just likes that the various bugs are fixed, new scenarios and campaigns are made, and we can get support. This will go a long way to keeping the life in this grande dame of wargaming?

You are so right. I will be post some more shots of the Scenario Viewer stuff later today. I am working on Rising sun First. It is the smallest of the holy trinity. The Scenario sheets are complete and I am incorporating the OOB's. Then the maps. Maybe a few more bells and whistles. I just wanted to say that I am doing this for the love of this game and this is what is going to help me and others out, creating strategies, tactics and etc. These files are formated for 8 1/2 x 11 paper. and will be printable on the fly. If you have acrobat or paint brush you could do after action reports and etc. Do you think this will help in PBEM Play?

I think it would be good for all uses.
When I research a scenario I use The Blitz scenario data base. It is easier to sort scenarios by how players rated and reported the games. You find much "balance" of play when you sort by rated/balance.
I like the dates, information, etc. portions of your Scenario Viewer.

I revamped the scenario page layout. When you click the image of the flag the OOB will com up and then when you click the scenario name the Map will come up. Give me your opinion guys.

I just got back into playing CS after about a 4 year absence and I think these look great. I know it is something I would use.

The layout seems to be simple enough. Not really sure there would be a way to improve it, as it stands now it looks to be very efficient.

I see there is a print option, will that also be the case with the oob?

yes it will. when this is complete the next phase will be added a nationality function. so you can click the country and see which games has the scenarios for that nation. I am curious do everybody want a top level oob or the reall nuts and bolts to cut and paste into an existing one?

So far, everything looks great. I think this would be a welcome addition for the community. As to your question, could you give a little more explanation as to what you mean? (I'm probably not the sharpest pencil in the box.)
