When editing loadouts can someone please explain what the DATA value is for?

Thanks - I'll make sure I get that right then.  It just proves that there are no stupid questions - I thought it was something to do with data links!

Yep, to reinforce Herman's tidbit, since each loadout affects the performance of an aircraft in vastly different ways, you get to attach a unique DATA number to each loadout, a smaller number means less maneuverable, higher means more maneuverable. If translating from harpoon paper data to HCE, you would take the paper DATA and multiply by 10 for a good estimate (i.e. H4 paper DATA of 1.5 is about equivalent to an HCE DATA of 15).

There appears to be an inversion here.

"wagen" in this context should be translated as "risking"
"waegen" would be "considering, thinking it through, weighing"

so the umlaut belongs before the comma.
