Most awaited games? Combat Leader ofcourse :D

And - sorry to say it since this is not WWII-related - Unreal Tournament 2003. UT's gameplay beats Q3 anytime, and I can't wait to see UT2

Combat Leader of course!

And, though it's not WWII it is a wargame...Harpoon 4 (I've had my pre-order in since last August)

Good Topic... but it will be hard to set SPWaW aside.

How about (1) Uncommon Valor - of course, and later this year (2) Hearts of Iron.

More Seriously :)

I fly flight sims as well and the
ADD-ON for IL2:STURMOVIK
is something I've been checking for weekly(I expect mid-summer). Awesome graphics and Damage Modeling and the creator and Lead programmer, Oleg Maddox, posts regularly and listens quite well.

I'd like to get a screen shot of the Sturmy attacking in SPWAW. The IL2 fans would find it a hoot.

Ooo ooo someone mentioned Combat Mission2. Never picked up CM1. Maybe I'll check it out.

And Combat Leader - I've visited the forum numerous times and made some inputs. To be honest I was at 1st disappointed by the graphics but as I got into the MC:LV, I realized that what I wanted from the graphics was the ability to ID and to represent what I could do NOT what I could look at. Looking forward to that. Especially for all the new things they can do with new engine.

I've found and created a few interesting co-ops for the IL2 flight sim @ Mission Page

Combat Leader
Uncommon Valor
And yes an add on for IL-2 would be great

Has anyone tried the New Janes Attack Squadron yet? I've always been a fan of Janes flight sims and technical reference.

In comparison to IL2 the graphics are barely adequate and DM is handled fairly well. Some are waiting for the community to develop some value to it. But some are enjoying the Multiplay in the bombers; said to be very fun.

One more from me, BattleField 1942 from EA looks nice. It looks like a sequal to Allied Assault. I just saw the advertisement in the new PC Gamer and William Trotter (Desktop General) still praises SPWAW.

Don't let anyone hear this, but I am not waiting on ANY games.

But then I am still to much the old grognard.

"Hey did you hear about the new game coming out this year?"

"Yeah yeah yeah, I will wait and get excited when its released".

But then I am used to waiting for a new board game that "might" be out this year. To many years of conditioning I suppose.

I am looking forward to Combat Leader, but, well, I am not holding my breathe I suppose. It will get here eventually.

I am waiting patiently for Combat Leader, Combat Mission B to B and Korsum 44. The Steel Panthers WAW game is my favorite ever since they first came out back with SSI. Combat Mission is a favorite just a little behind Steel Panthers. I play a lot of Squad Battles Vietnam for tactical infantry operations and play a lot of Smolensk, Kharkov and am patiently awaiting the Korsum 44 release (which I officially haven't seen any dates of release as yet).

just seen a screenshot and an interview concerning Combat Mission 2(from gamespot), it looks quite good... But I haven't played CB before, could anyone tell me whether SPWAW or CB is better? (As a WW2 simulation, which can make us most likely on the battlefield)

I'm waiting for Combat Leader! There's alot of graphically interesting WW2 games coming out in the next little while, but I've seen an awful lot of crap on the bandwagon lately.

Most awaited WW2 game?

Defintely Fire in the East

Ooops wait an explanation is in order heheh:)

A few years back I got a store to order in Fire in the East (its the monster board game for ya newbies).

Stupidly I told my wargamer buddy that the first with the cash got to buy it. I say stupidly because my buddy has a high paying union job, and I have a disability pension.
So I don't have the game not surprisingly.
He does, but he doesn't have anywhere to set up a 6' x 8' mapsheet errrrrr.

And I can't purchase it myself logically. Who the heck else other than him am I going to play it against. And he already has a copy.

He has had the **** game since 94, and I am still waiting.

Hmmmm oh you meant most awaited sooooooooftware game:D
