HI everyone!
Direction may be a better term. I don't play alot of wargames but enjoy what I have mastered so to speak. Pacwar was my alltime favorite, but it did take me a week or two to really get the hang of it. I've been putting around with this one, but kind of don't know where to start, as in when a scenario starts. I've been a bit overwhelmed. Just looking as to how I should approach a scenario from the start. I haven't spent ALOT of time yet, but will today. ANyone who knows what I mean I'd appreciate some help! Game does look great!

Paul,

Im not one of the hardcore wargammers floating around here but I do enjoy this game. After losing a couple small scenarios
I learned alot about Supply & Fuel.

So to start off have a overall plan of attack and/or defend. The first thing that worked for me was to get your transport ships, supply ships, & fuel ships Loading up right away ready to launch at a moments notice.

That was my problem not having what I needed when I needed it.

Doc,

I generally start any scenario by taking stock of the situation. You can either look around the map or use the lists of bases, TFs, ships and squadrons (the buttons at the top of the map) to give you an idea of what you have available. Next, check your scheduled reinforcements to see what's coming your way.

I then decide what my priorities are. Am I going to primarily attack or defend? Where is my "front line"? What are my most important bases in that line? Do any of them need more ground troops, squadrons or ships?

I then figure out a plan to bring the assets available in my rear areas and in the reinforcement pipeline to bear where I feel they'll be most beneficial for my priorities.

Some scenarios are less overwhelming than others, so I'd recommend you start with the shorter ones (and the tutorial) to get the hang of organizing and prioritizing fewer forces. Once you've handled the smaller battles, you'll be undaunted by the prospect of leading the entire theater.
