Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust how effective certain tanks are? I am tired of one shot after another from my Panzer 4's, Panthers, etc bouncing off of crappy Shermans. They are like the kings of the battlefields in this game.

Also, only 250 Sherman M4a3e2 jumbop's were built during the war. Why do they show up in just about every scenario I play?

And I am also sick of losing medium tanks to shots from american light tanks. They are as dangerous as anything in this game. And why do the AI controlled tanks ALWAYS get a hit on the first shot? The German tanks contolled by me have to shoot like 50 shots just to have one bounce off a loght tanks rear armor. Can't Matrix find a more imaginitive and less frustrating way to balance game play in their games?

In WaR equipment is assigned as per historically recorded data.

Weapon penetration tables and vehicle armour values are likewise calculated from historical data.

Sounds like you are losing against the AI... try an easier setting.

The AI controlled teams have no advantages over the human player.

There is no game balancing of the sort you allude to... the Germans shgould and do steam roller the allied defence for the first part of the campaign.

I'm playing the 12 Day GC with limited German supply available to DL from here: http://closecombat.matrixgames.com/WaR/WaRmods.html

See my day 4 screenshot below:

As Dawn breaks day 6

I've managed to tidy up a few supply routes but local Allied counter attacks are causing a problem.

May have to switch to plan B

I am well into the GC and had no problem rolling over the allies. It just seems to me that the allies always have an advantage in a tank duel. They almost always get a first kill shot or at least a damage shot. And when I do get a hit they often glance off a Sherman over and over again like I am firing at a Tiger. I don't remember reading anything about Panthers and Panzer 4's ever having difficult penetrating the armor of a Sherman.

I am curious...what settings does adjusting the difficulty change? Does it change the aggressiveness of the AI?

Generally it gives more and better equipment to the side that moves toward green/recruit
