What happens to the Royal Thai Army??

Have voluntarily halted my push to Rangoon mid 44 because its Monsoon season (May to Oct) and I didn�t think it was realistic to continue. And I must say � keeping the 14th Army supplied South of the Irrawaddy without Rangoon is a trick.

Anyway, I had a couple of Chindit Bdes East of Pegu in the area of Chiang Mai and they were being held up by a couple of RTA Divisions. I know that the RTA was not that useful but they were doing fair flank security for the AI. Then suddenly on 1 Aug 44: There they were � GONE?

Do they withdraw on that date? There were no combat reports or Ops reports saying anything beyond exchanging a bit of artillery.

Concerned that the AI�s flank East of Rangoon is now wide open just as I am about to recommence offensive operations which makes Bangkok very vulnerable in the fall of 44. Seems a bit unrealistic.

Yup RTA withdraws, that's probably what happened, apparently the AI doesn't anticipate this.
