This game is nostalgia for me, I used to own the orgional EF II and played it exclusively for a few years. What is different from the Eastern Front side of this version. Don't care about the Pacific or Westfront, though it's a bonus they are included.

The original EF II only had 2 linked campaigns, I notice there are now 6 linked campaigns for the eastern front, what are they ?

Has the AI been improved at all over the orgional ?

I know the DCG are pretty generic, what units can you use in the DCG ?

Changes:
OOB editor has been expanded from 1930-1953.
OOB structures have been completely revised for the Soviets; creating historical TO&E for the Great Patriotic War – from company to Division organizations have been created, most utilizing the plethora of new units.
OOB TO&E have been added to the Germans that incorporate new units.
Ships that operate in deep water only; transport, frigates, destroyers
Horses can be moved unmounted!
Mounted Cavalry and motorcyclists can fire on the move!

There are new Optional Rules to try out that will make playing the AI significantly more challenging.

The DCG's have a number of new organizations to try out, they are denoted with a "MCS".

There is a large community that plays the Campaign Series at: http://www.theblitz.org
Excellent place to discuss the game, find opponents or get some tactical advice.
