Beta 1108q6 wants to reboot PC?

Executing AEupdate1108q6.exe (runs fine, updates the beta and creates shortcut) I get the message to reboot.
Which I find strange. There should be no need for a reboot.

That is strange. Nothing like that screen comes up in the installer.

Could be related to a video codecs (ffdshow) update I did some minutes before updating Witp/AE.
Anyway, I reset WitP/AE to 1108q5a, and then did the update to q6 again.
This time no message appeared and everything is fine.

Note: the codecs update is totally unrelated to WitP/AE.

well unfortunately I get the same message when I try to update to q6....

but I never installed q5a - I ran all my tests with q5 -and then moved on (today) to q6... should I try to get hold of q5a first?

thanks...

edit: I went with "no" when asked whether to restart - and the game still launches properly...
I just want to make sure that our upcoming game will run fine before I start it with q6 tonight!

A reboot is not required after installing the beta.

I suspect that something else is triggering Windows into thinking it need to do a reboot.
