Status: offline 		We have just published a preview video for the upcoming science fiction turn-based strategy game Pandora: First Contact. It is just a Beta version but it already features some of the key elements of the final game including the different species, available units and hostile factions in the planet, the numerous type of building, weapons and environments, the management system and much more.

The look and feel of the game is too similar to the Sid Meiers Civilization Series (jncluding the Alpha Centauri game).

Not really sure this game fits the 'first contact' sub title.

Hopefully, additional gameplay features will give this game a more unique character.

Status: offline 		^ Agreed. If nothing else, it's been too long since someone (else) did a planetary 4x game.

That being said, Pandora still looks good in its own right!

Status: offline 		My issue is units either get wiped out or they don't and stay at full strength. Seems extremely restrictive and basic combat.

Do we know for sure this is the case? Civilization has used health bars for some time now. Maybe P:FC will do the same. So attacking a unit could maybe at least weaken it if it doesn't destroy it.
