I've looked at the manual and while it gives tips on what ships to assign to a TF it doesn't say how to create one.

Which has me wondering if a TF is just a stack of ships I move around? I had hoped that there would be a TF designation, such as, TF 20 or assigning any name we wish like TF Badger?

I like names and designations it makes it easier for me to keep tack of things. I could not find a create TF button or anything, so I'm lost.

There is no TF construct in the game. I think it may be partially coded but never implemented

OK, I guess that's why in the naval window there is a section for Carriers and Task Forces.

This is a bit disappointing. TF's are important and it would make things a lot easier to move around if we could create proper TF's. Hopefully, if it is supposed to be in the game it will be included in a near future patch.

An idea pretty well thought out, but never coded.

As the phrase is used in Rules as Coded, it just means a group of ships moving together.

And there are a number of threads here talking about how to multi-select ships for movement.

Dr. Foo, not what you were hoping for, but are you familiar with the Notes you can place on units/stacks etc? If nothing else it can help you make sure the units you want to stay together do so, but also to give you a review of possible future plans you set out for those units/stacks. These notes can be assigned/reviewed/updated/deleted from all of the normal forms used to review units; the NRD, Flyout, and Unit in Hex.

No, I was not familiar with the note option. I'll play around with it. Looks like it might be a good alternative. Thank you!
