1. Does the same helicopter(s), talking about SH-60B/MH-60Rs, remain embarked on the same ship (FFG/DDG/CG) for the duration of their cruise? Most of the time?

Example: Did HSL-48 Detachment One, SH-60B, serial 163234, stay on the USS Forrest Sherman for it's entire 2012 cruise?

2. How many helicopters do they (later Arleigh Burkes and Ticos) most often sail with 0,1, or 2?

Neither question probably doesn't have a definitive answer, just curious on some input.

1. Typically yes. The aviation detachment sails with the ship. The helo/helos will stay with the ship - an exception might be made for short-duration operational requirements (i.e. the helo ferries personnel or mail to and from shore, staying ashore overnight) or maintenance issues, which might require the helo to go to a shore facility.

2. Two
