Any chance we'll see more episodes in the Ostfront series?

I think there is still a chance we might see something more in this series.

Thanks
Rick

Well, if you two need any help or opinions do not hesitate to let us know here. There are some of us that would love to see this game succeed and it seems so very close.

Right now Rick is working on setting the game up so it can be expanded to include a wide variety of other theaters. I'm just making a few vehicles but with higher detail. Of course once a theater is chosen then specific maps, buildings, etc. have to be made.
One thing others may help is suggesting different coin colors, medals for other countries than Germany and Russia.

Well, I'm sure something from the old Wish List thread would be included.

but seriously, we haven't gone through a list of what will be included. With just two of us working on it, the time involved will probably be a factor.

Thanks
Rick

Some wish list items require numerous man-hours so they probably won't get done. Like Rick said wish list items haven't been looked at yet.

Just checked in to see what's going on and found more updates on the way...

Glad to see it's still being worked on as this is a vastly underrated game.

Mobius and I are still working on an update. It's pretty slow going.

Thanks

Thanks to both of you for what you do. I just wish Matrix or someone was helping.

I always struggle with computer-based wargames (mainly with not being able to see the landscape on one screen so to say). But I am giving it another go here and I must say the game has many nice features.

Best wishes,

Gerry

+1

Have to say, I reinstalled PzC Ostfront the other day on a whim -- had not played it at all for a few years, and really wasn't sure what to expect. I'm just amazed at how well the game holds up. I played PzC Kharkov a ton back in the day, but really had not gone back to it after getting deep into the newer generation Combat Mission games and the Graviteam 'Achtung Panzer' / Operation Star (and most recently, Mius Front). But something neither of those series offers is the experience of Barbarossa in 1941, and I've been hugely enjoying the 3rd Panzer Division campaign.

Anyway, that's just to say that, as I've rediscovered, Panzer Command is a terrific game, and well worth playing alongside the flashier (but still excellent as well) Combat Missionx2 and Graviteam series. Anyone on the fence should seriously consider picking Ostfront up during the Matrix holiday sale -- you likely will not be disappointed.
