First time PBEM just into mid June 42.Great game like it.

I cannot understand this on/off mud business. The Russians cannot do a historical Kharkov and the Germans cannot attack as I have had not 2 clear consecutive clear turns in 42 so far.
I also think yes there should be mud but from say May onwards we should have a Soft type condition that is say half or 1/4 the effect of mud.

Unless I want to reveal all my 42 intentions to The Russian you cannot attack fully until you will get constant clear turns - what do others think.

Unfortunately there is only heavy mud or no mud to choose from. Far from ideal, I know.

Yes, May-early June is a lottery, but wasting this time may be worse than revealing your intentions. I made good progress, and sometimes the mud helped me, not my opponent. So I think it was worth launching the attack in May.

It is historical. May and June 1942 were rainy over there in the very lovely and warm Soviet Union, with beautiful girls.
