I don't think you can beat Billy. This is what I used for my man-cave. Very versatile, great not only for books but also nick-nacks as you can buy glass doors and for general storage you don't want on show you can use wooden door option .

Emperor what are you talking about!? I believe you have that sentiment the wrong way round. As you yourself are fully aware, the answer is always Beewwwwbbbbs.

I am actually on my second mug of tea - and am currently entertaining the thought of having a third mug.

+++++++++++++++++++++++Update - Newsflash++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It's okay, you can all stop worrying now. I have made a decision.

I can confirm, having weighed up the pros and cons - the effect of another drink on my increasingly weak bladder (courtesy of my frail dotage) vs the simple joy of tea, gulped down from my favourite disney-themed drink holder - I have decided to partake of the third mug. The pleasure from this wonderfully refreshing non-alcoholic beverage outweighs the fact that I may find myself caught short on the way to work.

Ah well when it comes to those very deep thought out decisions I'd say do it and regret it later rather then not doing it and still regret it later.

No matter, tea and Beewwwwbbbbs can't be political. Wait my second thoughts suggest they can be!

The shame is that we need to feel that some discussions are "too" political?

When did it come to this?

Why can't we all just talk about things?

Why does free speech have to be shut down, when it is not considered acceptable?

What then is "free speech"?

Why do some have it and others do not?

Are some allowed to carry baseball bats while others are not?

That is the question.

It's a question that has been answered many, many times. It's nothing to do with free speech. This is a private forum, Matrix has the right to make the rules - and they do not want modern day politics discussed. It can be frustrating, but we either accept it or find another forum (or at least another forum for discussing political issues).

As to this thread, its really very simple. I love history and a post that was made yesterday morning on another GD thread got me thinking about historic figures and so I asked a question in this new thread that sought to develop that theme.

Very shortly after I reflected that the question, while genuine and, I believe, interesting from a history perspective, was likely to bring current political attitudes into it - and for what is a sensitive subject at present. I therefore decided to play safe and remove the question. I have no idea what point was being made in post 12 above. But there was no smiley emoji, only an exasperated one, so I assume it was not meant well and suggested something disingenuous on my part - which, if the case, is totally untrue - not to mention one that does not actually make any sense as my post was removed so quickly (25 minutes) very few people would have seen it at that time, and no one responded to it. That being the case how would I make a political point from its removal??

Pleasing to see that with a couple of exceptions the, now redundant, thread then became standard GD fare for those with a sense of humour: Beeeewwwwbbbss, tea, Ikea, Ikea wannabees, drinking cups of choice, more beewwbbs, horse porn and weak bladders

Nothing fun about weak bladders. Scary maybe, but definitely no joke.

Warspite you worry far too much. It was meant very well, you shouldn't put too much into your interpretation of an emoji or jump to conclusions about motives. Sorry if you feel a smiling emoji was needed, here is one if it makes you feel better although this might have been right or maybe this would have worked. It was only meant as a fun comment having nothing to do with you personally. It's just that when you think about it we do worry a lot about everything we say and how others might see it. There will always be many ways of seeing everything and some will always take it wrong. It seems to me that we do have to be thinking about politics in order to remove something because it might be political and I see some humor in that.

It does seem clear that this quote was correct "What does this mean please - I'm afraid I don't understand?" You really didn't know what it meant and I apologize if I worried you. It was not meant in anyway to do so. You are one of my favorite forum members.

It all does get me wondering though,
If something is politically incorrect, how can it be political??? Oops almost forgot

Note: This posting was later edited for typographical, grammatical and emoji etiquette reasons.
