It's a question that has been answered many, many times. It's nothing to do with free speech. This is a private forum, Matrix has the right to make the rules - and they do not want modern day politics discussed. It can be frustrating, but we either accept it or find another forum (or at least another forum for discussing political issues).
As to this thread, its really very simple. I love history and a post that was made yesterday morning on another GD thread got me thinking about historic figures and so I asked a question in this new thread that sought to develop that theme.
Very shortly after I reflected that the question, while genuine and, I believe, interesting from a history perspective, was likely to bring current political attitudes into it - and for what is a sensitive subject at present. I therefore decided to play safe and remove the question. I have no idea what point was being made in post 12 above. But there was no smiley emoji, only an exasperated one, so I assume it was not meant well and suggested something disingenuous on my part - which, if the case, is totally untrue - not to mention one that does not actually make any sense as my post was removed so quickly (25 minutes) very few people would have seen it at that time, and no one responded to it. That being the case how would I make a political point from its removal?? 
Pleasing to see that with a couple of exceptions the, now redundant, thread then became standard GD fare for those with a sense of humour: Beeeewwwwbbbss, tea, Ikea, Ikea wannabees, drinking cups of choice, more beewwbbs, horse porn and weak bladders 
Nothing fun about weak bladders. Scary maybe, but definitely no joke.
