Can anyone assist please? I need to save a PBEM game part way through my turn but I don't know how. Is this possible?

'Regular' PBEM or via the Server? What about the 'auto-save' option? Switched on?

Yes, I wondered about this too. Do you save and load your saved file like the old PBEM process? Thus via the load game menu to resume. Or start turn on the online server menu and it will pick up where you left off last?

Step by step instructions on how to do this would be nice. I haven't tried it yet out of fear that I will mess it up.

Click out with the top right X - you then get the option to save and close. It works for me. I presume this is through the server.

Yes I do that for a normal game. But is this right for a PBEM game? Where does it save to? When I go back in next time, does it know the turn is still with me? Has it saved the game and I pick up where I left off? As per the post above, there is no way I am going to risk the game unless I know that I'm not going to lose it. I have read the manual but don't believe it covers this - or if it does, its way over my head.

My dear Warspite

Please trust me.

I am a Welsh lawyer.

It is how I save PBEM games when, as usual, I don't have time to complete a turn in one go. There are no bells and whistles, but when I return to the game the server puts me back where I was. I am playing the Tet Offensive through the server, and this has worked on several occasions. Honestly.

If you don't believe me, why not try a small scenario against a friend and give it a whirl? Or try one against me (I'm useless) and if I don't hear from you with your turn I'll know why!

By the way I always enjoy your posts.

Cheers

I believe you! But yes I'll set up a game if you wouldn't mind acknowledging and then I'll try saving during my turn. I'll PM you with the password - and thanks for doing this!

I am afraid I have consulted my PM inbox and find 2 messages, both from 2008!

It's not (obviously!) something with which I am familiar. Where am I going wrong?

Cheers

I now have Warspite's message and will accept his Toaw challenge shortly.

I was registered with an email address I abandoned about 8 years ago.......🤔

This is correct, hit x tab, upper right hand corner, prompt to save and close. Then go to online PBEM server, and it resumes where you left off. Thanks for info.
