We are pleased to say the 'Close Combat - The Bloody First' (CC - TBF or simply TBF) will shortly be ready for a limited alpha test!

To help us in this period and with the preperations for entering Beta we are looking for a small group of enthusiastic testers. If you are interested in taking part please apply at the sign up page here :

We expect the Alpha test to last for approximately 4 weeks and the goal is to start before mid March

Please be aware that the initial alpha test group will be quite small so apologies in advance if you apply and are disappointed. Rest axxured the beta group will be several orders of magnitude larger.

In addition, in the interests of full disclosure the alpha build will only contain the single player Tunisian campaign (so no Sicily, Normandy or multiplayer etc.) For the 'cynics' out there - and after the last few years of development I can see why there might be a few the Sicily and Normandy theatres are largely done (need some rough edges taken off). Multiplayer is also in place but not yet ready for testing. The Editor will be refined during the next few months.

We will keep you posted on progress and when the first Alpha build is ready. In the meantime see below for another screenshot.

I send mine but i have my bet in beta, not in alpha.

Status: offline 		Well, I have not problems in test the Alpha, even if it is a limited version and to help to build the complete version. Rome was not builded at five days.;)

I like the words about cynics, I have been fighting with my words against them for more of 4 years.

Status: offline 		If you have 4 weeks for alpha we can have Bender-Land with Casinos and W....argames

I understand that this is going to sign for alpha and beta only that alpha is very limited and first wave of beta is going to receive more slots.

Be cynic after 4 years and 2 delays in release with a full change of engine in the middle and game moving from "coming soon" to "in development" is more than normal... faith is like gold or diamonds, limited and hard to find and sometimes is better leave it before ruin hits you

You're interest and enthusiasm is much appreciated

We'll be looking to send code out to the first small group of testers next week (w/c 12th)

After a couple of weeks we'll be looking to expand the test group for the 2nd part of the alpha test

For those of you waiting patiently or otherwise for the start of Alpha testing I'm afraid there is something of a queue of titles going through our production dept just at the moment - but rest assured they will get to Close Combat - The Bloody First as soon as they can

Apologies, despite best efforts to get the alpha out for the weekend we are just going to run out of time...
... on the plus side this does mean it will absolutely go out early next week (w/c 19/03)

No consolation to all of you but rest assured its frustrating for us as well
