Hallo!

Will the game "Strategic Command: World War I" have the historical GDP of the countries like

List of regions by past GDP (PPP)
- en.../wiki/List_of_regions_by_past_GDP_(PPP)
- fr.../wiki/Liste_historique_des_régions_et_pays_par_PIB

or

Allies of World War I
- en.../wiki/Allies_of_World_War_I
and Central Powers
- en.../wiki/Central_Powers#cite_note-5

It is much more interesting to play with the historical GDP balance of countries involved in WW1 and not with any random unrealistic GDP balance.

Hi

When designing a campaign I try to get the economies to be roughly in accord with their relative historical statuses, as you suggest, but then adjustments will be made from that to get the balance right.

One could adopt a different approach which would be to not adjust the economies but instead to change the costs of units as a way of getting the balance, but that is a lot more work and would lead to lots of small differences, whereas adjusting the economics +/- down a bit is much easier and clearer.

So for example if you play as one side, and then the other in the next game, you will automatically know the price of most units and their capabilities, and so it's much easier to play without having to check all the unit prices in too much detail.
