I started the day upset because of the email server. I got home to find my 2nd child, who had drug issues and we spent so much on, rehab, etc.. He was beautiful and smart and if we could just get him over this hump. He was slipping again. Today I found out coming home my beautiful, tortured child was dead at 22.

I don't know with my opponents when I will return a move. I may do it in rage. Just tell you kids they are awesome and you love them, even when the mess up.

He was no saint, but this was my worst outcome. He just got an Associates with high honors and then...

I don't know you save as a name on the screen, but I am praying for peace for you and your family. Terrible tragedy. I lost two brothers to similar issues, so I might begin to understand, but truly nobody can REALLY know how you hurt in this time.

Condolences to you and your family Mercutio.

Many of us have lost family and friends (many comrades I served with) to drugs.

May your son Rest in Peace

Condolences from me too for your loss, which is so terrible. There are no adequate words for something like that. I can relate as I lost my brother in 92 in a similar way - he got addicted to alcohol while in the navy and we couldn't stop the downwards spiral from there. Losing one's child is certainly an even more horrible experience. All the best to you and your family.

Thanks for all your support. It is sad that others have similar experiences. We have cured so many illnesses and can live longer than ever and yet unfortunately things like this happen. I feel for those who have lost their loved ones as well. It is a terrible group to be a part of.

Very sorry to read this Mercutio.

You are right, taking time out from gaming and work to appreciate what we have is very important, and please accept my condolences.

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies. I don't know if you are religious or not, but I pray the love of God enfolds you and your family during this most difficult time.
May your many memories of him help to sustain you.

Best regards,

C

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm going thru the same scenario with my daughter. She just came home from rehab and so far so good. We keep praying for her. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts.

Thank you. I will do the same for her and yours. Ty came home from rehab and it was going well and in a week it all disintegrated. If my son's story can help your daughter I will be eternally thankful. I often wonder why doctor's cannot see someone's prescription history. I get the "privacy" thing, but doctor shopping and someone in legal trouble for these medications. This should be known to doctor's and actionable if they avoid them. To be clear, I am not blaming all doctor's, I am blaming the system.

Regards & Best Wishes,
John

And no, I am not talking about suing anyone. The system sucks and needs changed.

Deepest sympathy. Every person is precious and special.
I will not even pretend I understand you loss though I have
lost many friends and comrades to addiction and addiction
related issues. I will out myself as one of the lucky ones
who survived long enough to begin to recover. You can hate me
for it if you need to. I came back from fifty years of
addiction to ethanol and drugs. I had a lot of help but
addiction is so insidious and baffling that every recovery
is an individual thing. We either don't think things are bad
yet or we think that we can get away with "one more". It is like
a short circuit in your brain and drinking or using just "happens".
Criminalising a psycho-emotional disorder does not help anything.
I am so sorry.

I fully understand what you are going through. I lost my daughter due to drug related suicide. I just know that she is in a much better place now and that knowledge helps me survive.

Your son went to the same place and he will not suffer any longer.

I hope that you will get to this place at some point. It is not your fault.

Sending love and deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Apologies for my own late response here as I was offline for most of last week... my deepest sympathies to you Mercutio and to your family.

Thanks guys. I can never hate you danlongman. MrLongLeg, I am sorry for your lose and all those who have said they have lost friends and loved ones as well. It is a crappy group to be a part of. At least we can support each other.

Gotta go pickup his car and drive it back. This is going to be an experience.
