I read somewhere that it takes 90 days of training. Is that true? Is it a hard value? I have an American Dive Bomber group with a 60+ leader with good Admin and Inspiration values that has been training for over 100 days without upgrading.

Thanks for the response.

very few values, if any, are hard coded in this game, always assume some degree if randomness

just know that eventually the squadron will become carrier trained, as long as you keep it on the carrier

And it is the squadron, not the pilots not the leader who become "carrier trained"; hence I don't think leader or pilots will influence, but I might be wrong

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the Group has been training on a CVE for the entire 100+ days.

I think the CV has to be operational, so if it is overloaded with planes they can't train. I'm not sure they train even if the CV is in drydock. Pierside yes. I always remove all squadrons before going into drydock, so I wouldn't know.

I think that you're overstacked. Normally that ship has a limit of 16 a/c. You have 17 plus 4 reserve aircraft....GP

Thanks for the replies.

Get rid of the 4 reserve and I think it will resume the clock.
