Alright, here is my first proper scripted scenario. Another 80s Gulf of Sidra Freedom of Navigation, but this has air operations only. I wanted to capture the passive-aggressive feeling of these FONs, and the "Are the Bogeys Hostile or Not?" question gives a lot of room to develop lua skills.

This is based on the historical incident, but with some randomization and highly fictionalized elements. I did Wikipedia & Google type "research" for this- not comprehensive by any means- so if anyone knows of any historical or operational details that would be easy to implement, please let me know.

I'm looking for any feedback. Specifically, what should the Complexity/Difficulty rating be?

Known Issues:
-Lua errors during the morning of Day 2 are cause by trying to reassign aircraft that were shot down during the previous day and should be harmless.

-There is only one escort for the task force right now...I'm not sure if the task force should be full scale or not, but it the one can just about handle everything that could be thrown at it, so I did not add any more.

Thanks.

Do I have to download everything. Most beta scenarios are just the scenario. Yours are in all kinds of inner folders. What do I actually need to put in my beta folder to play this scenario.
Thanks

You definitely need the Lua scripts, and they need to be in that subfolder within the main Lua folder.

I know your scenario is @1981 and this incident data is from 1986 Operation Eldorado Canyon but I can image that it would be very much alike. The orbat is useful maybe? I will post one more.

The SA-3 and SA-2's locations are quite easy to use in this Tripoli area.

Here is an update that I made to a Lua file. It goes here:
Command - Modern Operations\Lua\GulfofSidra1981

This fixes a big such that the Libyans may now decide to fire BVR if they have that capability instead of closing to gun range.

Hi Blast 33, thank you for sharing. I'm not sure what those documents say, but you stay exclusively over water for this mission.

Any thoughts on this? Is it ready to submit for the community scenario pack, or...?

Also, when you share on Steam, can you include the scripts? I'm not sure how it works.
