Been watching a lot of old video's about WWII on Youtube recently and came across this one about manufacturing 3" shells. The amount of time and labor that went into making just a single shell is astounding and gives me a whole new respect for the sheer effort that went into producing enough material to feed the massive hunger of the war engines that fought the war. Considering the rate of fire of the anti-aircraft guns during naval battles, you could probably safely assume half a million man hours or more of work product went into the sky during every engagement.
