I have made a PBEM-only scenario for test.
My friend told me turn length is very important for players, and PBEM need two players uses exactly same edition of EXE files.
Do it possible for IKE to support editions under latest one.
For example, if I start the game under 1147.35, my friend couldn't open the file if he use 1147.34.

Here is the information about the scenario:

Scenario location: Western China
Turn duration: 8hours, and every turn isn15 min (3 times setup phase in one turn for both side)
Side: PLAAF and ground targets with SAMs.(The same units for both side)
Targets:
(1) Eliminate enemy air forces. (+10 pts per unit)
(2) Destory two military bases and Radar in different direction. (+100 pts per unit)
(3) Destory SAMs. (+20 pts per unit)
Who will win this battle?
--The side exceed 300 points will win.

Note: do remember change file from .txt to .scen

Nice job! I’ll check this out as soon as I can. Let me know if you’d like me to include it in the official IKE scenario pack.

Regarding different versions: IKE is designed to ensure that both players are using the same version of CMO, as sometimes certain areas of the game can change quite drastically between builds. (For example, there was a public beta earlier this year that completely revamped the sonar model.)

The host (the person who played the first turn) is the person who sets the current build version for the scenario, and they can change it on their turn at any time. If you want to change the CMO version for the current PBEM game, the host should just replay their latest turn after installing the correct version. The scenario will then enforce that version, unless it’s changed again.

Sorry for the confusion! In IKE v1.42, which should come out in the next week or so, I’ve added a pop-up message when the game version has changed, which should hopefully make this all a bit clearer.

Hi, I can't download the file. It opens a text box instead of downloading the file. Maybe should you zip it ?

I can't upload zip file and don't know why.
So I have changed the file type from .scen to .txt
If you could change the file type manually, it will work.

Sure, I'll apreciate that.

By the way, I found a small bug when I played with my friend.
When I set wrong mission area (reference point did't make a square), There will be a message window opened in my opponent's phase.

Great! If you don't mind, please send me the original scenario file (before you applied IKE). Having the original scenario file makes it very easy for me to update the Scenario Pack when I produce a new version of IKE.

You can PM it to me on the forum or email me nick.musurca at gmail.com if that's easier.

Does the message look like this?

If so, then unfortunately this has to be classified as a "known issue" (i.e. not fixable) for now. I don't have control over the "area validation" messages that CMO pops up, and I don't think there's a way to suppress them. (They're designed to alert the player when a single-player scenario is broken, and were not intended for PBEM play.) So I guess that when you see that message, it's up to you whether to tell your opponent that his mission has been set up incorrectly, or to take advantage of his sloppiness!

Sorry for the problem.
I have uploaded it to Steam workshop, can you get it from there?
Or I will sent it to you by PM.
