On a recent Air Combat Patrol return. I attempted to transfere some Fighter and dive bombers to 3 CVs from base at neumea. For some reason I could not bring the carriers to much beyond 70 planes even though they are all rated at 90. The ships had no damages and I can not figure why they would not fill up much beyond 70 total. Should they have been kept in port longer? They were in for 3 or 4 days!! Any suggestions?????????

You can't have more than 5 sqaudrons on board if you do I believe there is
a no launch penalty and you will have some planes held in reserve, the carrier will act like a plane transport at that point.
check your sqaudrons and see if they are holding some in reserve.
also it is not a good idea to put land based planes on carriers they will not function as good as your cv squadrons, you will see op losses as well as system damage go up
as they smack into your carriers trying to land. ( learned it the hard way )
