From what i can see this is part of the setup system for SPWAW.

Now it has an interesting line in it :
%ISWIN2003SERVER%=FALSE
This is set TRUE or FALSE depending on your system you are installing SPWAW on.

So if the setup sytem appears to accept WIN Server 2003, WHY does the game not run on Win Server 2003???

To me this appears as a contradiction of events, that is, why install on Server 2003 but not run?

There are actually a few of out here in cyber land who use server 2003 as our base OS. Also NO we don't actuall have access to XP!
Ever tried to say "Hey I want a second compute just to run SPWAW and NO you can not use the server machine!" ?? Napham seems a better option that the sort of response you may get !

This a domestic issue as well as work ...

Yes its an ongoing gripe but with teh options of a new version of Mech.exe it would be worth the wait for some of us if the new version ran on Server 2003.

Yes SPWAW runs on Server 2000 but that has been replaced by 2003.

Ok end gripe a present !!

try right clicking the exe and going to properties/combatibilty mode ( this is from memory , the name coul be slightly differnt in 2003 ) see if you can force the game to run in 98 or xp mode
