After capturing Hollandia and building it up, I've decided to transfer most of my forces and HQ's there.

Most of my HQ were transfered by air. I'm missing HQ for SouthWest Pacific, 6th Army and some Corp HQs. I still have an Australian Corp HQ there.

I realized that many people lose troops air transporting them.

Anyway to get them back. Is there a saved game editor I can use to revive them?

The only way you can get them back is to go back to a saved game from before when they were lost. Sorry.

I just transferred the 12th HQ from Canton to Wuhan by air. Now the HQ is gone and I don't get the individual units to list on the screen... I've got about 15 units @ Wuhan - you can see the stats for Infantry & 2nd line troops. I've checked everywhere for the 12th HQ - it's gone. It took me about 5 turns to move them from Canton to Wuhan. Do I really have to go back 5 turns? Is this a database corruption?

Sadly, it's a known bug/issue. IIRC some folks suggest that when you do transport units by air that you send some of the units off, then wait a turn or 2 to see if the unit has become the "parent" at it's new location, then resume the operation. sorry to hear your loss though.

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

Yes, I now have a general rule: don't transport anything by air that you can't afford to loose.

Suggestion if not already tried:
Have you tried clicking on the icon next to "Troops located at Wuhan"?
Or using the "List all ground units" button and sorting by location?

Just other ways to get to troops.
