Hi all

I thought the opponent selection buttons could be clearer so I went I created these.

To use them make a copy of Standardbuttons256.bmp, found in the TOAW graphics folder, and place the copy in the AltGraphics folder. Cut and paste the coloured red vs blue buttons on top of the black and white buttons in the copy of Standardbuttons256.bmp in you AltGrpahics folder.

Alternatively, if you prefer I can just send you a Standardbuttons256.bmp that you can use directly or, if you are already using a modified Standardbuttons256.bmp I could add my new buttons into it for you. Just send me a pm with requests.

Nice work, but shouldn't it be Blue vs Red? After all, the icons are essentially read from left to right, with the symbol on the left being P1, and the one on the right being P2...

Sorry, but I can be hopelessly pedantic at times...

Hey........that's a good idea. And the other buttons can be colored as well.

Larry, you had a similar idea to myself. I am modifying the on/off type buttons so that, rather than have a cross through for off, they have blue or green for on and red for off. I think I am slowly being drawn into modiying them all, though that was never my intent.

I called in Red vs Blue as a homage to the comdey web series of the same name. Go here. It was a bit of an obscure refernce and I didn't expect anyone to recognise it, but as you brought it up ....

I have been experimenting with various images to depict the various functions and have run into a sort of a quandry.  I don't know which symbols to use for some of the functions.  I'm open to suggestions.....anybody have a preference?

EDIT: I gotta tell you playing with these new symbols feels like playing with a new
game.
