I am on the last unofficial patch, made a couple changes and don't want to lose them by patching the official just yet.

Anyway , is the rule in the last unofficial patch that Emancipation can occur when European levels are 12 or more(for CSA) AND the US has a positive battle score? ( for US of course)

Does this include French and British levels? I sure hope so or no one is gonna get to emancipate before 1864. )

The reason I ask is in my game the levels counting France , Britain and Europe are over 12 AND I finally have a positive battle score, but it won't let me Emancipate ( it is early 1863) I believe my current totals are 3 British, 2 French and 8 European for CSA ( the US has a neg 3 for European politics)

It does count total of all three European powers.  Has the CSA already emancipated though?  If it has, then you won't be able to.

NO CSA has NOT emancipated. The totals currently are England 4, France 5 and Europe 8 or 9, the US has a plus 6 in battles. I continue to not be able to emancipate.

CSA has positive will, the US has negative will.

Has anyone actually met the requirements for emancipation since the change and been able to do so?

Again I have positive battle results and the South has a total of 14 favor with all of Europe and I still can not emancipate. In a couple months it will be 1864, I will let you know if it works then... AND no CSA has NOT emancipated.

CSA couldn't emancipate as I have that turned off. Even in 1864 I was unable to emancipate.

Are you saying that you can't get it to work? If so, are you playing USA or CSA?

Is anyone out there having trouble with emancipation?

YES I am saying I played as the US and was NEVER able to emancipate. In 1863 all the requirements were met for a series of months and I was not allowed. In 1864 I also was NOT allowed. CSA did NOT emancipate, the toggle was set so they could NOT do so.

If you still have the save files please send them to ericbabe@west-civ.com. I assume you're aware that there are some changes to the rules for when emancipation is possible since the manual?

Being a noob I was not aware that emancipation was changed drastically, I mean I just assumed you could do it anytime you wanted, of course why I would mention I met the requirements ( that didn't used to exsist) I am not sure, maybe a late night brain fart on my part? Being late I am allowed to make a joke?

Perhaps the question that needs to be asked is , Has anyone been able to emancipate as the US under the new rules with the CSA toggled to NOT be allowed?

Having finished my game I installed the Gold patch, so it is moot until I play with any changes that occurred between the last beta and the Gold.

You might be onto something regarding the "CSA can't emancipate" option being linked. Is anyone else who's playing with this option finding that the USA can't emancipate when it should be able to?

Regarding requirements, I guess what I meant was that I believe there have been changes more than once, so I wanted to make sure that you knew the up-to-date rules. I figured you did, but had to ask.
