I have a an issue with the graphics. Sometimes what appears to be a white pop up flashes on and off the screen for prehaps half a second. Its completely random and is more of an annoyance than a game breaker. I was thinking it might be something to do with Java? Either way have you encountered this problem at all, or has anyone else?

I have high system specs and the latest Nvidia drivers for my 6600 GT.

Any Ideas?

Yes it is a problem we've been struggling with a for a long time. It seems to be related to the java drawing techniques we are using. We did not realise that we would not be able to find a fix for the problem until too late in the project. By this time we could not change to a diffeent drawing system. We're still looking for ways to fix it, but we may just have to wait until we update the drawing techniques, but that is a very large task, almost a new game.

I've only ever noticed this when ending my turn and the Convoy Lend Lease box pops up....and even then, it only ever seems to be a problem the longer I play....

Howards how fast CPU do you have? I think a high spec CPU would experience this problem at a much smaller degree

Well just for the record, being as I piped in here, I have

AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 2GB DDR 400 PC3200, Gigabyte 9750GT 512MB

Also, I rarely play in the max zoomed in level...so that could be a factor, if it's more resource intensive at that level...

Specs:-

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 1024MB RAM Directx 9.0c NVIDIA 6600GT 256MB

So not that high end i spose but still high end enough :-)

I didnt expect to have any problems running this game at all. It doesnt really bother me that its not going to be fixed as its only minor and happens every now and then.

What version of Java should i be using? does it run best in?

edit: yeah i play at the maxed zoomed in lvl alot and thats where its most prominent. But im always flicking about between the 3 zooms as the scroll isnt very fluid. I tend to zoom out then scroll or right click to center the screen on a location, then zoom back in.

The only trouble I have with scroll is down, there are a lot of dead areas trying to scroll down.
