I'm just guessing, but I believe if you match up a game (RS, WF, or EF) with an incompatible geographical area (for example, RS and desert), you get a blank screen.

You have it patched all the way to 1.02b? You do have JTCS correct? Could you tell us if it installed ok, any errors or anything? The maps ingame look ok?

Mike

I have the same problem.  They should have numbers on them.  Instead, I get some strange blocks that cannot be read.

@Vampir, no problem, your English is waaaayyyy better than my Polish!! Tell me, are you able to double click on the map.exe(EF, WF, RS) in each game, and make one that way?

I can honestly say that in all my years of playing the Campaign Series, and I've had them all since they came out, I've NEVER seen anything like what you're showing me??!!

Jason, Wyatt, any ideas??

Sorry I'm no help with this problem...

Mike

My screen does the same. I had just assumed it was how it looks. For what it may be worth, I get around it by doing as mentioned here and going into the actual ".exe" files in the folder.

I'm happy Mike that my English waaayyy better than your Polish ...Editors starts normally by means of double click on the map.exe(EF,RS,WF). This problem relate to "main menu" screens EF,RS,WF - single click key "edit map" generated strange editor screen with blank polls. On the old Talonsofts version this games I've never seen anything like I showing on attachment

My screen resolution 1440x900 LCD wide, 32 bit depth (OS Vista Home Premium 64-bit, graphic card GeForce 7600GT, 4GB RAM, Intel Core2Duo 1,87). In game I have 16 bit depth color in my screen. Updated my graphic drivers a 2-3 months ago, and all(others) programs and games works fine... only this "little" problem with screen map ediors...

JTCS version should work with 32 bit color depth without problem try it.

It is really strange, only problem can be in nVidia and Vista combination (what I heard there was big compatability issues)...did you upgrade to Service Pack 1 ?

or another idea:
Those fields in Editor are input boxes...try switch off AERO in Win Vista or maybe better set visual appearence to Classic Windows (plain graphic like  old Windows)

Maybe visual setting propagate to this game and input boxes are affected

I upgrade my Vista to Service Pack1 a months ago... I hate Vista! I have many problems with this OS...I come back to old, familiar XP in this months
Turn off AERO and turn on visual set to Classic Win - no changes - blank pools in editor screen... Maybe problem in nVidia and Vista combination
