What is the use of the 'set distance' (right-button menu on the map editor) ?

It states a max of +999 , the manual though says +199, and the game seems to state that also, however , if it's in a open ground hex, it still costs only 1MP to move through them, bottom line, is it of any use, and is it even working properly???

It doesn't affect movement. It affects bombardment ranges. It's purpose is for off-map airfields.

tks. I was making a memory effort here, and remembering it had something to do with planes, I wasn't sure what...
