I had some available web space so I uploaded the HTML almanac for the first 5 seasons of my 1900 St. Louis Cardinals association. It takes me a while to do a season because I play every game. I play with finances and trades turned off. So far, the Pennsylvania teams have dominated the association, and I'm still trying to make it to the World Series. I really like the HTML almanac and I can see using it as a tool while playing the game, since you can't access other screens while doing most things. For some reason, though, the logos and photos aren't loading online. I looked at the code and everything looks ok, so I can't figure out why I don't see any images, which I feel really helps build a feel for an association.

EDIT: Whoops. I forgot to include the url: http://home.comcast.net/~jeffreymgeorge/Almanac1900/index.html

Do all these from the almanac

1) Rename the photo folder in the almanac to Photo (note the capital P)

2) Open the photo folder and rename the noPhoto to NoPhoto (note the capital N)

3) Open the logos folder and rename the team logos with proper names. They are listed in the folder in the almanac as brooklyn_superbas. rename to Brooklyn_Superbas (note the capital letters).

After these changes upload the almanac, everything should work now !

Hm, I don't know if we are using different versions of the game or what, but when I look at my almanac folder I don't see what you are seeing. In my logos folder the files are named logo_1.gif, logo_2.gif, etc. And when I look at the teams.html file I see something like:

<a href='team_2.html'>Pittsburgh  Pirates<img style='float:left' src='logos\logo_2.gif'></a>

Regardless, for some reason it seems the problem is only in Firefox. Internet Explorer seems to load the team images properly. However, I did have to change the folder name of photos to Photos to get the player images to work. I guess something in Firefox doesn't like this particular html code or something.

That is correct because IE will allow improper coding where firefox wants it close to perfect. If you rename the noPhoto in the photos folder it will display properly when a player has no pic. Forget the renaming the team names. My bad, wrong game!!

I set my almanac to open with the IE interface from Firefox with "IE Tab" works great !!

I went ahead and changed the file name of the noPhoto file. Being as anal retentive as I am, hopefully it won't come into play often!

The problem with changing the name of the logos file is that then I have to change the references in the teams.html file, as well. I'm ok with leaving them generically named as long as the proper logo displays!

Also to get the tabs to work you need to modify the tabletf (I think thats it, it is after the seasons.html file) There are 2 of those, just make the f a capital F for both files

Cool! Thanks for all of the pointers. It looks much nicer with those tabs displayed. Do you have any almanacs online? The cool part of this is that if anyone had any HTML knowledge they could spruce up the almanac any way they wanted, such as adding a background image or something.

You can change the .xml file to customize the names of the awards as well.

It is located in the xml folder where you have installed PS !!

Scroll down to the bottom and rename them !!
