I installed the editor but get the following error when launching it:

ed has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Are there any requirements for the program to run correctly?

Thanks

Please try to install DirectX End-User Runtimes (February 2010) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=0cef8180-e94a-4f56-b157-5ab8109cb4f5 . It should solve the problem.

Vista 32bit. I guess that it's the cause.

We will try to find solution, but meantime you may try to run the editor in a XP compatible mode (it can be set in exe properties).

Two more things which might help are: to run it as administrator and to update graphics drivers to the latest version.

I can't run the editor and I'm running Windows XP SP2, all other items are up to date.

This doesn't bode well for the product.

Despite the editor was working fine at least at teen different configurations now it seem that it has chosen to be ill-humored. When the game is released (or maybe a bit ealier) we will try to make it obeying players ;)

doomtrader,

I installed and ran the latest version with no problems.  I did get an object reference error but I'm sure it was due to me not knowing what the heck I was doing and just pressing buttons.

One suggestion that I would change is the right hand tabs...wasn't even sure they were there for awhile...I actually thought it was a scroll bar.

Another great feedback.

Still waiting for those who reported the editor is not working for them.

We are planning to release new version of the editor next week, but this time, together with maps (some from the game, and some not)
