Hi,
I'd like to watch a movie I saw when I was a teenages but I don't remember its title or the names of the actors.
Could you guys help me out? I'll describe it briefly.
If I'm not mistaken, it's set in the 60s or 70s, it's American. I saw it at the beginning of the 90s, but it was probably made in the 80s or 70s.
So, there's this young boy, a teenager, whose parents are rich. But he's got problems with himself, somehow doesn't want to live. So he keeps trying to commit suicide. I don't remember the details about these attempts, but there was something with the swimming pool, and setting oneself on fire, maybe something with hanging oneself on a chandelier - but I'm not sure about the last one. All of these attempts are somehow comical and make you laugh.
In the meantime, he meets an old woman and somehow gets to like her. There develops a certain bond between them. They often meet and talk.
The boy also buys a hearse, or maybe changes his car into one - I don't remember - and travels by it.
Finally, if I'm not mistaken, the last scene is that he accelerates the hearse (or some other car) and let it drive over a cliff and then it falls down on to the beach and explodes.
That's all I remember about it...
