My Germans were on the US coast. I declared war the US, blindly did an amphibious landing which crashed the game. I reloaded the autosave, and this time made the landings on empty hexes - seemed to work fine, but the very next turn all the German units on the US soil had 0.0 strenght inspite of being supplied. The same happened to all units both the ones landed from landing ships and those from troop transports. Thus my dream of fall 1941 total victory ended.

As long as the CTD is not repeatable, then there is nothing what can be really done with that.

Regarding the effectiveness of Axis in USA, you should deal with European enemies first

Britain had surrendered, as were the Soviets. The only enemies left were Iraq and British colonies. US had not declared war on me, but I did that on it.

Well, I'll start a new game today and will try to recreate the situation.

Anyhow, what I meant that during the initial landing the units remained at their normal strenght (ie. about 30 to 40 for the armor corps), but the very next turn they all went to 0.0 strenght.
