I'm playing my first H2H PBEM and I'm not sure if there is a setting that I am missing or what, but...

When I click on a unit (say, B3) the other unit members do not illuminate to show they are also B units (i.e. B0, B1 and B2 identifiers should turn orange). Have I set something wrong or is this normal.

I am also not getting the unit headcount showing on the screen for infantry squads and I can't determine which setting it is that turns this on. (e.g. (10) for B0 unit or 9 for FJ squads, etc.)

The second part is under show Unit Number in the upper left part of the settings screen (right hand column, mid way down). Maybe you will solve the first part by adjusting it too.

Thanks Goblin. I hope that's it (and I think it is). It is strange that that is a setting that cannot be changed in PBEM. VikingNo2 must have had it turned off accidentally when he set up our game.

Germans are not so tough any more in H2H I think.

I accidentally solved the problem by setting up a solitaire battle and setting "Show Unit Number" to ON. When I went back to my PBEM battle, the previously locked preference was now locked on and my problem was solved. Very stange quirk in the system.

I guess Leo can answer this best, but I'm not sure if it's a quirk. Default preferences settings in H2H are just different - C&C is ON, for example. :) Also notice that your infantry units has a REALLY short range setting as default?
