Purchased the game this evening. Download and install seemed to go correctly. When I went to start game, it crashed to blue screen (Page Fault in Nonpaged Area). I installed the Open GL and Visual C++ 2008 as instructed and referenced in the other posts in the technical support section of the forum. I de-checked run the intro and full screen, it crashed again (after running the intro video anyway). I uninstalled the whole program, downloaded it again and re-installed. Same blue screen data. My ctgw.log file is empty nothing in it. I checked and my drivers are up to date. Any assistance would be welcome.

Hi burschman, that sounds like a pretty dramatic error... never seen anything like it. Nonetheless, I'm sure we can get you up and running. Could you upload a dxdiag report so that we know the specs of the machine you're using?

Thanks for the help. Attached is the dxdiag file you requested.

burschman, do you know what kind of ram you have? When I build my computer about a year ago I would get this error all the time, "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area". I have 16GB memory it turned out my memory was undervolted. One way to know for sure is to run memorytest If there is an problem with the ram this program will find it. It's likely CTGW is accessing the bad part of ram which causes the crash.

I ran the memory test as you suggested. It found no faults or errors. So, it doesn't appear to be that. Other games I have on hard drive seem to be working. What is next to try?

I guess you could try reinstalling your video drivers and see if that helps, but normally this is a memory problem.

Drivers and Apps conflicts are prone to BSD.
And Creative sound cards.... don't help much.
