Gentlemen

I know that, with a couple of exceptions, the beauty contests over on the General Discussion forum have not been your bag. Fair enough. However, I hope I have something on offer that is more to your liking.

Like the thread title says, I am looking for the most beautiful ships of WWII. The first category up for grabs is the most beautiful of the Fast Battleships. There are two groups of three, and I am looking for 1 vote per person in each group please. If you fancy it, please drop by the Australian Beauties thread and cast your vote.

Note: we are talking aesthetics only here - not war record.

Does it have to be a real Fast Battleship or can it be a planed Fast Battleship?

WWI and/or WW2?

Any speed?

The 3 contestants in each group can be found in posts 2074 and 2075 of the Australian Beauties thread in the General Discussion forum. All you have to do is say who you are voting for in that thread.

Clue is in the question - its WWII

Bismarck-class is, of course, one of the contestants so if you want your vote to count please visit the Australian Beauties thread. Thank-you.

Sorry Mogami isn't on the list for Fast Battleships (I like it too).

Hmm only fast battleship that have good armor, firecontrol, etcs. Probably be the Iowa Class, love the Yamato, but Iowa would own her due to firecontrol and speed. Unless spotters pinpoint her.

RN Vittorio Veneto.  Without a doubt.  Not that the others are shabby, not at all.  We're just talking personal preference here.

For the second group, I like all three.  It's difficult to pick one.  I was really a Yamato fan as a kid, I think it was the first ship model I built.  I'll go with Iowa for the second group.

Gents

Sorry to sound pedantic, but can I ask you to vote on the AB thread please? I have a number of these and I only want to be monitoring one thread for votes. Many thanks for your assistance

I noted on the other forum you wanted to resize your images.

Well, the forums are using what is called PDP code.

The [image][/image] command doesn't allow a width and height adjustment.

You will have to:
1) Load your pictures into a paint program
2) Resize them
3) Post them somewhere on the Internet
4) And then you could use the [image][/image] command.

I think I know another way that might work but I don't want to be banned from the forums for trying it.

Here is a link to PDP code and definitions.

There you go. As you asked so nicely

Post 2173 provides the contestants - there are two comps running at present - Fast Battleships and Battlecruisers.

The Bismarck or her sister ship the Tirpitz. Isn't she beautiful with the mountainous landscape in the background?
