Do you remember which window you opened when this happened?
Had almost the same error when I was opening a window (not sure if it was fleet or ships) couldn't reproduce it to find what it was tho.

I was playing the Ancient Galaxy storyline. A world destroyer is on it's way to Relakios planet (not sure if that's the spelling). Saved it before it arrived and was able to protect the planet but my fleets destroyed the planet destroyer.

I went to reload it to just before it arrives again so that I could board and capture it instead of destroying it. During reload it crashed.

please post the save game so support can look at it, it may help for those to check and bugfix etc

have you still got it? and have you tried to load it again on a fresh start? does it do the same thing? as if so its a repeatable fault and will give them a good idea of where the problem lies...
