im having issues running the randalfs racket scenario. the 1st issue is that the scenario runs really slow when using time compression.

I posted a thread on the main board about the pulsed settings and was given some tips to improve performance which I did but it didn't improve.

2nd issue is that when using time compression its crashed several times. ive uploaded the save to this thread and also have a screenshot if someone wants to take a look.

I have decent pc so I know its not hardware related.

Hi. Sorry that happened.

What version of the game are you running?

We'll definitely take a look at the file. Thanks for posting it.

Mike

heres is the screenshot.

I just ran the save again for a few minutes under time compression so it isn't 100% re-producible.

im still here by the way, disappointing that no one has been in touch.

I think ive nailed down my time compression/ crash issue. since ive had these issues ive done a full reinstall on windows and its happening on two different machines so I know the problem aint at my end.

game is running all latest updates.

whenever I define an area and create an exclusion zone in a scenario that involves aircraft carriers it totally kills the time compression which then usually results in a crash. so far ive tried it with the operation allied force and randolphs rackets snenarios and it is 100% reproducible.

ive tried all different setting which have been suggested to no avail.

to be honest im on the verge of asking for a full refund, something I have never done with a game before but im not prepared to have a £60 game sit on my hard drive in an unplayable state.

can someone please have a look at this as I really don't want to go down the refund route.

Hi Cato12,

Thanks for the information. After the big update release and months of non-stop post release support and improvements, the development team is on a well-earned break.

I'm sure they will investigate this once they return in a few weeks.

In the meantime, may I suggest that you work around the issue? I understand it's something you want fixed, but the game should still be quite playable until it's resolved.

Regards,

- Erik

Thanks. The problem has been reproduced and fixed. The fix should appear on the next public release.

As a temporary workaround until the fix is released, you can check/uncheck any of the unit types affected by the zone in question (aircraft, ship etc.). Doing this should populate the zone's internal values cache and prevents the crash from happening.

Thanks.
