Does War in the West allow ANY type of co op. Like say one person plays Britain and the other the USA against German controlled AI

This would be over email or network for me and a friend

The only way to do this now would be to play PBEM and pass the save game around between the team members. We are looking at adding in future expansions the ability to allow one player to be in control of the air planning phase while the other is in control of the ground movement phase (so effectively air and ground commanders). Down the road we'd also like to allow multiple ground commanders, but that's more targeted for WitE 2.0 given the size of the forces involved.

So like I would move just my country, send it to my buddy he would take his units and then press "next turn" and then see what happens basically. Then email me back the file. In a simple type of explanation

Yes, however since there is an air order phase and air resolution and then ground movment phase, if you split air and ground forces, you'd have to do this:

Player 1 gets start of turn save and enters air orders, saves and sends to player 2
Player 2 gets save and enters air orders, saves and sends to player 1
Player 1 gets save, resolves air combat and then moves land forces, saves, and sends to player 2
Player 2 gets save, moves land forces ends turn and saves and sends to opponents or player 1 (after AI goes)

OR
Player 1 gets start of turn save and enters air orders, saves, and sends to player 2
Player 2 gets save and enters air orders, resolves air combat and then moves land forces, saves, and returns it to player 1
Player 1 gets save, moves land forces, ends turn and saves and sends to opponents or player 2 (after AI goes and player 1 does step 1)

NOTE: It is also possible to do this on the server. Both Player 1 and Player 2 would need the password, but the saves would go onto the server with player 1 and 2 coordinating their actions through e-mail.
