I have this AVG group in Chungking

Can someone refresh my memory on what are possible causes of not being able to withdraw without losing planes?

I have another group on the same base:

and it can withdraw without losing planes... of course supply situation is not great... but this is a badly beaten China and it is April 1942

Is there any place in China where they can withdraw?
rebase range for H81-A3 is horrendous...

I guess they will have to die fighting!

Doubt it.

I have always moved them back to Burma or India to withdraw.

You really want to find a base where they can withdraw without losing the airframes.

They go into the Chinese pool.
