I may be the only one who gets a mental block when I have to assign callsigns to my aircraft, but it happens often enough that I now keep a list of real world callsigns that I've detected on ADSB detector!
My detector feeds into '360Radar' - similar to Flightradar24, but will show military aircraft (if they are transmitting).

This list taken from aircraft seen over the UK shows a/c model and c/s.
Might help feed your imagination!

UK
AgustaWestland Apache AH.1 // HUNTER
AgustaWestland Wildcat AH.1 // RECON, DINGO, SPEAR
AgustaWestland Wildcat HMA.2 // TALON, RASCAL, BLACKS
Airbus Military A400M Atlas C.1 // GRIFFIN
Airbus Voyager KC3 // MADRAS, TARTAN
Boeing-Vertol Chinook HC.4 // TUSKER
Bombardier Global Express Sentinel R.1 // SNAPSHOT
Britten-Norman Defender AL.1 & AL.2 // JACKEL
Dassault Falcon 20 EW // MOTHBALL, VADER, TASMAN, ZODIAC, AMBER

Eurofighter Typhoon - FGR4 // ZIRCON, FIRECRACKER, TYPHOO, RAZOR, LOSSIE, HAVOC, ZENITH, COBRA, APOLLO
Eurofighter Typhoon - T3 // SPARTA, GUNFIGHTER, WARLORD

Hawker Siddeley Hawk T.1A // CUTTHROAT, NAVYHAWK
Lockheed C-130J Hercules C.5 // JIGSAW
Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules C.4 // ASCOT

U.S.A

Lockheed C-130H Hercules // JILL, HANK
Lockheed MC-130J Hercules // STRIX
McDonnell Douglas C-17A Globemaster III // TINCAN
McDonnell Douglas F-15E Eagle // PYRO, RICO, THUD, GUNNY, MAUL, SLAM
McDonnell Douglas F-15E Eagle // CASINO, SPEAR, RACK, STRIKE
McDonnell Douglas F-15E Eagle // HOSS, BOLAR, GINIS, RAGE, PANTHER, HOWLER
McDonnell Douglas F-15E Eagle // BALLS, EAGLE, REAPER, SANDY, TRICKY, STRONG

This is what the detector looks like:

The USAF C-130 at the top is highlighted in red because she's squawking 7700 (emergency) and is heading home to Mildenhall.

I always use this listing, or when all else fails, callsigns from the Falcon 4.0 ATO.

I like using the Squadron names some of the USAF ones are quite good:

Spittin' Kittens
Gators
Bunyips

etc

Some non US nicknames are hard to find however, as are the USAF tankers and transport Sqns.

Some of these just have bad visuals - especially when Joysticks are involved

Some useful lists there - thanks.
Currently seeing a Chinook c/s KRAKEN

But from the ones I've picked up this week the callsign winners have to be the 2 Typhoon FGR4's over Scotland yesterday ..... c/s JEDI
